Digital Hub 2nd year contract funded by a local housing association. Beneficiaries X 30 Digitally Excluded adults. Support enabled participants to access Universal Credit Portal, write a CV, solve computer, Internet and mobile problems and general IT and life problems. Education in IT and social interaction was recorded as the main benefit from the Hub. Laptops were loaned to participants. Laptops We secured funding to purchase 6 Laptops for our laptop loan scheme for people that didn’t have a device. This scheme was part of the Digital Hub project. 15 digitally excluded people have benefited from this scheme. Merton Trike Club Merton Trike Club was formed after funding ended for our staff led group tricycle rides. The group trike rides are led and supported by our 6 volunteers, who were once participants of our staff led groups. Having benefited themselves, they wanted to support other people to improve their health and wellbeing. We have 2 clubs and secured free long term storage for our fleet of 16 trikes at both locations. National Trust Park and a Military Defence building. In addition, we secured free long term storage at Big Yellow Storage in Merton for spare trikes and accessories. We attend community events with the trikes and volunteers to encourage people to test rides the trikes. More than 100 people have benefited from this project. Beneficiaries include people that are recovering from strokes, rehabilitation of a heart attacks, neurological conditions, poor mobility, lack of confidence, social isolation or lack of balance due to other health conditions. We are forming partnerships with other community organisations, Veteran groups and schools to maximise the use of the trikes and to benefit the wider community. Personal Support 1 to 1 support: Wellbeing, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Homelessness.
Our focus group are our volunteers and we have regular 1 to 1 and group meetings to support them and gain feedback from beneficiaries of our services.
