Company activities and impact

Developed and launched a citizen science marine sampling initiative. This allows ordinary people - with no scientific training - to sample four key parameters of ocean health, and upload their results to an app. The system - known as the Big Blue Bag - has now been deployed to 75 sites around the UK and Europe, thus allowing those who would not normally have access to marine science to become involved in the conservation of their local coastline / beach.

Consultation with stakeholders

There are no “stakeholders” beyond our investors (Visit Isle of Man, and HX Expeditions). We have produced a report for them - and indeed for those conducting the sampling and the general public - showing the results of the data collection to date. We have also been in regular touch with them, and conducted a number of joint promotional events.
