During the financial year, Edinburgh Equilearn CIC continued to deliver community-focused equine-assisted learning and wellbeing activities designed to support children, young people and adults who may experience barriers to accessing traditional learning, personal development or wellbeing opportunities. Our activities use structured interaction with horses and the outdoor environment to provide a supportive and inclusive setting in which participants can develop confidence, communication skills, emotional awareness, resilience and positive relationships. Activities are adapted to the individual needs and abilities of participants, with an emphasis on creating meaningful opportunities for learning, personal growth and improved wellbeing. Edinburgh Equilearn CIC has benefited the community by providing accessible, practical and engaging opportunities for individuals who may be experiencing social, emotional, educational or other challenges. Through participation in equine-assisted activities, individuals have been encouraged to build self-esteem, develop new skills, increase their confidence and experience a greater sense of achievement and connection. As a Community Interest Company, our activities are carried out for community benefit. Throughout the year, we have continued to focus on creating a welcoming and supportive environment, reducing barriers to participation where possible and ensuring that our work responds to the needs of the people and communities we serve.
