Achieve Your Goals CIC target families living in areas with the lowest index of multiple deprivation rating where families often live in cold, fuel poor homes, pupils school attendance is affected through ill health and most have poor academic prospects or aspirations. Our mission is to educate and excite the school community about social, economic and environmental sustainability. We aim to raise awareness of sustainability and carbon reduction from an early age, nurturing a generation that thinks collectively and acts responsibly. Small lifestyle changes can lead to significant environmental impact and we work to empower children, parents, and carers with the knowledge to make those changes. We support communities in tackling fuel poverty and reducing carbon emissions. Fuel Poverty We support families to better understand energy usage, improve efficiency, and reduce costs helping to create warmer, healthier homes. Education and Raising Aspirations Achieve Your Goals developed a flexible educational programme for Primary School pupils, adaptable for different year groups and learning styles. We use the characters Eddie, Poppy and Sam, the ‘Green Team’ to tell the story of Green Town. Our educational resources are told through their eyes. We provide 36 weeks of learning that give pupils the skills to make smart decisions Achieve Your Goals deliver a range of interactive enrichment activities in schools with support from High Aims staff. STEM Class A standout feature of our programme is the interactive Green Construction STEM Workshop, where pupils explore sustainability through a construction-themed lens: This workshop fosters problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork while showcasing green careers and the practical relevance of sustainability. Pupil Podcasts Pupils can become School Game Changers by recording their own podcast. This powerful activity enables pupils to: Reflect on learning from classroom lessons, STEM sessions, and workshops. Discuss key topics such as climate change, renewable energy, and energy saving. Share practical advice and personal pledges to live more sustainably. The podcast is recorded in school and shared with the wider school community empowering pupils to become ambassadors for change. It strengthens climate literacy, builds oracy skills, and helps pupils see themselves as influential changemakers. Green Careers Workshop Our Green Careers Days introduce even the youngest learners to future-focused roles in the green economy through hands-on, age-appropriate activities. Pupils dress up as hydrologists, foresters, and ecologists, immersing themselves in the world of green industries. Activities include Testing water samples to learn about water quality and pollution. Measuring tree samples, introducing basic environmental surveying. Exploring pond life, identifying species and learning about ecosystems. Sustainability Corner Fun Event This playful, educational session allows pupils and parents to engage in interactive games focussed on fuel poverty, energy efficiency and changing behaviours. We have equipped 13 schools with energy monitoring technology to track their energy use, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategies to reduce carbon output. Armed with both knowledge and data, schools can make strategic, cost-effective decisions to lower their carbon footprint. Our programme helps schools achieve quick wins and lays the foundation for long-term infrastructure improvements, driving measurable progress towards net zero. Impact This year, we have worked directly with 18 schools across Rotherham, Walsall, North Yorkshire and Oldham, delivering 72 interactive sessions to more than 1,700 pupils. Our programme included: 3 Eco-Council meetings 11 podcast recording sessions 35 STEM sessions 1 Sustainable Corner session 1 careers fair 21 Green Careers sessions In addition, we delivered a STEM session for the Youth Forum at Sheffield Children's Hospital, extending our reach beyond schools and engaging young people in a healthcare setting.
