During the reporting period, we provided private, face-to-face consultations to both adults and children experiencing severe hair loss due to a variety of causes, including medical conditions and treatments. Through these sessions, we supported individuals in selecting appropriate wigs, offering tailored guidance on style, colour, and hair volume based on their personal needs and preferences. Our service aimed to help clients regain confidence and improve their emotional well-being. In addition to one-to-one support, we also promoted greater awareness and understanding of wig options, helping individuals make informed choices that were both comfortable and suitable for their lifestyle. This initiative contributed to reducing the stigma around hair loss and enhanced self-esteem for those affected.
During the reporting period, we actively engaged with service users, their families, healthcare professionals, and local support organisations to ensure our services met the needs of those experiencing severe hair loss. Consultations were carried out through informal feedback during appointments, follow-up surveys, and conversations with partner organisations, including support groups and medical practitioners.
