Company activities and impact

During the financial year, the company has continued to provide significant benefit to the local community through the provision of accessible amateur boxing, fitness and wellbeing activities. A key focus of our work is supporting children and young people within the local area. We provide a substantial number of free boxing and fitness sessions, giving young people a safe, structured and positive environment in which to spend their time. These sessions encourage physical activity, discipline, confidence, respect and positive social interaction, while helping to engage young people who may otherwise have limited access to organised sport and recreational opportunities. By providing a welcoming boxing gym and positive role models, we aim to give young people a sense of belonging and purpose, helping to steer them away from antisocial behaviour and other negative influences within the community. We also provide accessible sessions for adults within the local area, with many activities available for only a small donation. These sessions promote physical fitness but also have an important positive impact on mental health and wellbeing. They provide opportunities for social interaction, routine, confidence building and stress relief, while helping to reduce isolation and improve overall wellbeing. Any income generated by the company is used to support the continued operation and development of the club and its community activities. Our overall purpose remains to make boxing, fitness and the associated physical, mental and social benefits as accessible as possible to children, young people and adults within our local community, regardless of their financial circumstances.
