CALB Centro de Apoio Luso Brasileiro CIC is a UK Community Interest Company (CIC) established in August 2024 to support Portuguese-speaking individuals and families, particularly those facing vulnerability or social exclusion. Its mission is to provide practical guidance, advocacy, and referrals to help members of the community access essential services and integrate into life in the UR. Its work focuses On: Supporting victims of domestic abuse and vulnerable individuals. Providing guidance on immigration, asylum, and welfare benefits. Assisting families, children, and Older adults. Connecting people with legal, health, housing, and social support services. Promoting community integration and wellbeing through information and partnerships. CALB operates as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, meaning any profits are rein- vested to achieve its social objectives rather than distributed to shareholders. Overall, CALB serves as a community support hub for the Portuguese-speaking population in the UK, helping people navigate public services, overcome social challenges, and improve their quality of life.
