General information

PMA (Accommodation) Limited is a private company limited by shares, incorporated in England and Wales. The Company's registered office and trading address is disclosed on the Company Information page.

The financial statements have been prepared under, and are fully compliant with Section 1A of FRS 102.

The presentation currency in the financial statements is GBP rounded to the nearest £1.

2.Accounting policies

 
2.1

Basis of preparation of financial statements

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006. The disclosure requirements of Section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.

The following principal accounting policies have been applied:

Financial Reporting Standard 102 - reduced disclosure exemptions

The Company has taken advantage of the following disclosure exemptions in preparing these financial statements, as permitted by the FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland":
the requirements of Section 7 Statement of Cash Flows;
the requirements of Section 3 Financial Statement Presentation paragraph 3.17(d);
the requirements of Section 33 Related Party Disclosures paragraph 33.7.

This information is included in the consolidated financial statements of Arthur John Capital Limited and these financial statements may be obtained from 12a St Georges Mansions, Causton Street, London, SW1P 4RZ.

 
2.3

Interest income

Interest income is recognised in profit or loss using the effective interest method.

 
2.4

Taxation

Tax is recognised in profit or loss except that a charge attributable to an item of income and expense recognised as other comprehensive income or to an item recognised directly in equity is also recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity respectively.

The current income tax charge is calculated on the basis of tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date in the countries where the Company operates and generates income.

Cash and cash equivalents

Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institutions repayable without penalty on notice of not more than 24 hours. Cash equivalents are highly liquid investments that mature in no more than three months from the date of acquisition and that are readily convertible to known amounts of cash with insignificant risk of change in value.

Creditors

Short-term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

The company is wholly owned subsidiary of PMA Group Limited whose registered office is 3000a, Parkway,
Whiteley, Hampshire, PO15 7FX.

The smallest and largest company which prepares consolidated accounts in which these figures are included is Arthur John Capital Ltd. The registered office is 12a St Georges Mansions, Causton Street, London, United Kingdom, SW1P 4RZ. The consolidated financial statements are available from Companies House.
