Company activities and impact

the Objectives of the CIC are as follows: - Promote practical responses and behavioural change in Durham and the Northeast of England to combat climate change and ecological emergencies. - Further the exchange of information, advice and knowledge relevant to objective 1. - Support the development of a wide and diverse network of organisations, groups and individuals in support of objective 1 We have fulfilled these in the following ways. - We have a weekly series of talks and conversations designed to raise awareness of the issues surrounding Climate Change and loss of biodiversity particularly in Co Durham. - these include giving practical advice to local people on how to change their behaviours to mitigate the problem of climate change. - We have held several wider meetings open to the public including a Climate Conference and a Clean Air Day, both involving members of the public and officials from local councils and agencies.

Consultation with stakeholders

We hold monthly meetings open to all members to consider recent achievements and to identify priorities for future action. We have an attendance of about 20 members each month.
