Thrive Active NW CIC was incorporated on 11 October 2024 to improve physical, mental and social wellbeing through inclusive and accessible community activity programmes. During the period ended 31 October 2025, the company secured grant funding from Parkinson’s UK for a programme of community exercise sessions intended to support adults living with Parkinson’s. Delivery commenced in September 2025. Three sessions were delivered before the period end, on 30 September, 7 October and 14 October 2025. The sessions provided participants with opportunities to engage in appropriate physical activity, improve confidence and wellbeing, and develop social connections in a supportive community setting. The remaining funded sessions were due to be delivered after 31 October 2025.
The company's key stakeholders include the children, young people and adults who access our services, their parents and carers, local authorities, schools, community organisations, staff, volunteers and funding partners. Throughout the financial year, we have consulted with stakeholders through verbal conversations, parent and participant feedback, email correspondence, telephone discussions, post-session evaluations and ongoing communication with schools and commissioning bodies. Staff meetings and regular discussions with delivery teams have also been used to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that services continue to meet the needs of participants. Feedback received has directly influenced the development of our services. We have adapted activities to better meet the individual needs of participants, increased the variety of inclusive and sensory-based activities available, reviewed session structures to improve engagement, and expanded opportunities for children and young people requiring additional support. Parent feedback has also informed the timing and delivery of sessions to better meet the needs of families and carers. The company remains committed to listening to stakeholders and using their feedback to continuously improve the quality, accessibility and impact of its community services.
