The company Orsu-Obodo Indigenes in Diaspora CIC (OID) is a non-profit organisation aimed at providing basic human and infrastructural development targeted at the residents of Orsu-Obodo community. OID's activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - Community Primary School Students benefited with brand new school desks provided by the company. Students were able to sit and learn in a more conducive class rooms which are fully equipped brand-new school desks. Previously, the students sit on dirty floor with little or no desks available. This has helped improve the student’s hygiene and drastically increased the population of the school and also boosted the pupil's attitude to learning - Renovation of classroom block to accommodate increasing population of the school. This helped in reducing the number of out of school children. Indigent families are now able to send their children to the Community Primary school with free tuition and get same standard of class room as the tuition paying private schools in the community.
The Company's statekholders are the residents of the community. The company discussed with the Head Teacher of the community primary school to identify areas of needs that will benefit the community. It also had various discussions and consulted with the Town Union leadership of the community and agreed on the project to be executed.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
