Director's Report
Business review
The year began with a strategic realignment of our services. We chose not to rebid for a significant manned guarding contract when it came up for renewal, allowing us to concentrate on specialist canine services, where our expertise is greatest and the long-term growth prospects strongest.
During the year, we replaced the substantial majority of the associated turnover through new and expanded canine contracts, with overall revenue remaining broadly comparable to the preceding year.
Operating profitability improved and our balance sheet strengthened further, supporting continued investment in our people, technology, management systems and operational capacity.
Strategy and outlook
We entered 2026 with a clear strategy centred on securing and developing key national contracts within the canine security sector.
Delivering this strategy will require continued investment in recruitment, training and employee development. Our focus is on attracting exceptional people, increasing the number of directly employed dog handlers and becoming the largest direct employer of security dog handlers in the United Kingdom.
We will continue to manage growth carefully, with particular emphasis on service quality, compliance, canine welfare and financial stability. Above all, we remain committed to being a trusted long-term partner to our clients.
I remain confident in our future prospects.
Employees and stakeholders
I would like to thank our employees, contractors, clients, suppliers and professional partners for their continued commitment and support throughout the year. We could not have done it without you.
