Principal activity The principal activity of the company is to provide health and wellbeing services, and other activities for the benefit ofLGBT*Q people, our straight allies living in and/or working in Hertfordshire, and local businesses. Review of the year During the year ended 31 December Company Number: 09664445 DIRECTORS’ REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025 The directors present their report together with the unaudited financial statements of the company for the year ended 31 December 2025. Principal Activities The principal activity of Hertfordshire LGBTQ Health & Wellbeing C.I.C. during the year was to promote and support the health, wellbeing, inclusion and visibility of LGBTQ people, their families, friends and allies living in and/or working in Hertfordshire. Throughout 2025, the company continued to develop its community engagement and partnership working across Hertfordshire. Its activities focused on promoting health and wellbeing, raising awareness of issues affecting LGBT*Q communities, challenging stigma and discrimination, strengthening community connections and encouraging greater inclusion and understanding. Partnership working remained central to the company’s approach. The company worked collaboratively with community and voluntary organisations and other partners to support activities that furthered its community purpose and helped ensure that LGBT*Q health, wellbeing and inclusion remained visible within the wider community. The directors contributed their time, knowledge, skills and experience voluntarily to support the company’s activities and its engagement with partners and the wider community. Herts Pride The company continued its involvement with Herts Pride during 2025 as part of its wider commitment to promoting LGBT*Q visibility, health and wellbeing, equality, inclusion and community connection. Hertfordshire LGBT*Q Health & Wellbeing C.I.C. formally held the event licence and event insurance for Herts Pride and provided support in kind towards the event and its delivery. Hertfordshire Pride Society remained responsible for all financial aspects of Herts Pride during the year, including contracts, invoicing and sponsorship. The financial activities of Herts Pride therefore remained separate from those of the company. The company worked collaboratively with Hertfordshire Pride Society and other partners in supporting Herts Pride 2025. The event provided an opportunity to bring together LGBT*Q people, families, friends and allies alongside community organisations and other partners in an inclusive community environment. Through its involvement, the company supported the wider objectives of increasing LGBT*Q visibility, promoting equality and inclusion, encouraging community cohesion and providing opportunities for people to connect with their community and with information, organisations and support. World AIDS Day During 2025, the company collaborated with Herts Pride, Proud Watford and Proud Hornets to deliver a World AIDS Day event. The event supported the company’s health and wellbeing objectives by raising awareness of HIV, encouraging informed discussion, challenging HIV-related stigma and providing an opportunity for community engagement. The collaboration also raised funds for the National AIDS Trust, providing a direct charitable benefit alongside the event’s awareness-raising and community objectives. The activity demonstrated the value of partnership working in bringing organisations and communities together around an important public health issue and reinforced the company’s commitment to HIV awareness and the health and wellbeing of LGBT*Q communities. Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion Health and wellbeing remained central to the company’s community purpose throughout the year. Through its community engagement and partnership working, the company continued to promote awareness of issues affecting LGBT*Q people and to encourage inclusive approaches to health, wellbeing and community participation. The company’s activities recognised the importance of addressing stigma, discrimination, social isolation and barriers to inclusion, while creating opportunities for LGBT*Q people to connect with others and participate positively in community life. The company continued to strengthen relationships with organisations and stakeholders with shared interests in equality, health, wellbeing and community inclusion, enabling its community purpose to be advanced through collaborative activity despite the company having no income of its own during the year. Financial Position and In-Kind Activity The company did not receive any income during the year ended 31 December 2025. Activities undertaken by the company during the year were supported through the voluntary contribution of the directors, collaborative partnership working and support provided in kind. The absence of company income did not prevent the company from pursuing its community purpose. Through voluntary involvement and effective collaboration with partner organisations, the company was able to contribute to activities promoting LGBT*Q health, wellbeing, inclusion and visibility across Hertfordshire. In relation to Herts Pride, the company’s contribution included holding the event licence and event insurance and providing support in kind. Hertfordshire Pride Society remained responsible for the event’s financial activities, contracts, invoicing and sponsorship. Community Benefit and Impact During 2025, Hertfordshire LGBT*Q Health & Wellbeing C.I.C. continued to provide community benefit through its voluntary activity, community engagement and partnership working. The company’s involvement with Herts Pride supported a significant opportunity for LGBT*Q visibility, inclusion, community connection and engagement across Hertfordshire. Its World AIDS Day collaboration with Herts Pride, Proud Watford and Proud Hornets provided a more focused health-related intervention, raising awareness of HIV, challenging stigma and raising funds for the National AIDS Trust. Together, these activities contributed towards the company’s objectives of promoting health and wellbeing, strengthening community connections, encouraging inclusion and ensuring that LGBT*Q people and their experiences remained visible within Hertfordshire. The directors remained committed to developing the company and its partnerships and to ensuring that its activities continued to provide identifiable benefit to LGBT*Q communities and the wider community. The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company’s transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
