During the year, We Are The Tree CIC continued to support refugees, migrants and displaced communities to improve their wellbeing, reduce isolation, build confidence and strengthen their sense of belonging. Our work is rooted in lived experience and the principle of “Work With Us, Not For Us.” We create culturally relevant, trauma-informed opportunities for people to connect, heal, learn, participate and contribute to their communities.
The stakeholders are refugees and migrants’ communities and people of colour from second generation of refugees and migrants. They engage with We Are The Tree ’s programmes and/or could benefit from the results of our activities, as well as public, private, and non-profit organisations that work with We Are The Tree CIC to reduce inequalities and better serve diverse refugee communities. The directors of We Are The Tree CIC are from refugees and migrants with lived experience of displacement . Their lived experience has shaped We Are The Tree s business model and approach to working with communities.
