During the financial year, the company benefited the local community in the Tyldesley area by providing opportunities for local people to come together and reduce social isolation. During the winter months, when the bowling green was closed, the company organised approximately 10–15 social and warm-space events. Approximately 10 people attended each event. The sessions provided a warm, welcoming and informal place for local people to meet, play dominoes, have tea or coffee and biscuits, and spend time chatting with others. The activities helped provide social contact and companionship, particularly for people who may otherwise have had fewer opportunities to meet and interact with others during the winter months. The company also helped bring people together within the local Tyldesley community and encouraged social connections and a sense of community.
The company's stakeholders included local residents and people attending the social and warm-space activities. Stakeholders were consulted informally through conversations and discussions during the social events. Attendees were able to share their views about the activities, what they enjoyed and the value of having a warm and welcoming place to meet during the winter months. Feedback from attendees supported the continuation of the social activities, including opportunities to play dominoes, have refreshments and socialise. The company used this feedback to continue providing informal social and warm-space sessions during the winter period.
