It has been another successful and impactful year for Kicking For Grassroots CIC, with our projects continuing to support young people and strengthen the communities in which we work. Key activities and achievements have included: Our annual Community Project was once again extremely well attended, with more than 1,300 young players taking part throughout the year. We successfully delivered our HAF programme across the winter, spring and summer holiday periods, engaging more than 400 young people. Alongside providing positive activities, participants received a nutritious meal, helping to address holiday hunger. We continued our grassroots campaign, supporting amateur rugby league clubs to access funding opportunities and raise awareness of the valuable work they undertake within their communities. Through our work in Middleton, we supported and encouraged more young people to become physically active, creating opportunities for them to participate in positive and engaging activities. Throughout the year, young people have benefited from increased opportunities to be active, socialise, develop confidence and engage positively within their communities. Our projects have also delivered wider benefits to the local areas in which we operate, strengthening community engagement and supporting grassroots organisations to make a lasting difference.
We continue to consult with young people, local communities and key stakeholders to ensure their views, experiences and feedback help shape the development and future planning of our projects and activities. Our stakeholders include young people, schools and other education establishments, public services, NHS organisations, governing bodies, community organisations and delivery partners. We gather feedback and consult with stakeholders through a range of methods, including: Feedback and evaluation forms Polls and surveys Questionnaires Direct conversations with young people and participants Regular discussions with partners and key stakeholders This ongoing consultation helps us understand local needs, identify areas for improvement and ensure our activities remain relevant, accessible and responsive to the communities we support
