Tortive Theatre is a Theatrical Production and Management Company. It produces and supports the production of theatrical works both on the stage and in publication. It provides workshops, consultancy, and management services as well programming creative and culture activities. In the previous year it began working with the Northumberland County Council's Creative and Cultural Zone on a number of projects for the benefit of the community. The company significantly increased its portfolio of interests by taking on the management of astudio venue space, The Straw Yard. The venue required capital to enable its use and a significant amount was invested by the Director as well as outside sources to enable The Straw Yard's opening.
