2Accounting Policies

Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 105, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime.

The company is a residents' management company responsible for the management and maintenance of the communal areas and facilities serving the development. Communal land is recorded at its transfer value of £nil.

Contributions are collected from the owners in accordance with the terms of the covenants governing the development to meet the costs of providing, procuring and performing the services of the company, including the establishment and maintenance of a sinking fund.

Unspent contributions are retained for these purposes and are recognised as creditors.

Company is limited by guarantee and consequently does not have share capital.
