1 Accounting policies
Company information
Highcock Holdings Ltd is a private company limited by shares incorporated in

Going concern
At the time of approving the financial statements, the director has a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The going concern basis has therefore been adopted.
Turnover
Rental income is recognised on a straight-line basis over the term of the tenancy. Consultancy income is recognised when the related services are provided.
Investment property
Investment property is initially measured at cost and subsequently carried at fair value where this can be measured reliably without undue cost or effort. Changes in fair value are recognised in profit or loss.
Taxation
Current tax is measured at the amount expected to be paid to HM Revenue & Customs using tax rates enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date.
Financial instruments
Basic financial instruments are recognised initially at transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost, less impairment where appropriate.
