BLOSSOMIFY CIC Annual Impact Report 2026 Reporting period: 31 May 2025 to 31 May 2026 Building Happy Communities Together About Blossomify Blossomify CIC supports children, young people and families to learn, connect, build confidence and improve wellbeing. Our programmes bring together educational support, board games, life skills, physical activity and community connections in welcoming local spaces. During 2025 to 2026, Blossomify continued to grow across South Cambridgeshire, strengthening our work in Cambourne and expanding into Northstowe and Waterbeach. Our focus is on youth development and community wellbeing, with particular attention to creating inclusive, SEND-friendly environments where children and young people can participate, develop friendships and feel that they belong. Our Year at a Glance SEND Friendly Inclusive activities designed to support children and young people with different abilities and additional needs. Families Engaged Parents and carers connected through regular sessions, family activities, community events, conversations and signposting. Growing Our Reach 2025 to 2026 was an important year of growth for Blossomify. We strengthened our established activities in Cambourne while developing new weekly opportunities for children, young people and families in Northstowe and Waterbeach. Our expansion reflects both community demand and our belief that children and families should be able to access positive opportunities close to where they live. Over the year, Blossomify has reached more than 275 children and young people through its programmes, activities and community engagement. Level Up Our Level Up programme remains at the heart of Blossomifys work. Sessions combine educational support with board games, puzzles, creative activities, conversation and life skills. Rather than recreating a classroom environment, we use relaxed and engaging activities to help young people develop: literacy and numeracy confidence communication problem-solving teamwork resilience independence and friendships. Board games are particularly valuable because children can practise strategic thinking, numeracy, reading, turn-taking and communication while having fun and connecting with others. The result is an environment where learning and wellbeing happen together. Youth Development Youth development is central to our work. Our activities are designed to help young people develop skills and confidence that extend beyond individual sessions. Through regular participation, children and young people have opportunities to: Learn: Strengthen literacy, numeracy and problem-solving. Connect: Develop friendships and positive relationships. Communicate: Practice conversation, teamwork and expressing ideas. Grow in confidence: Try new activities and recognise their own abilities. Develop life skills: Build independence, resilience and decision-making skills. Belong: Feel welcomed and valued within their local community. We recognise that sometimes the most important signs of progress are small: a young person beginning to speak within a group, joining a new game, asking for help, forming a friendship or becoming excited about returning the following week. These are important steps towards confidence and independence. Community and Family Wellbeing Our work increasingly demonstrates that supporting a young person can benefit the whole family. Parents and carers meet while children participate in activities, develop connections with our team and become more aware of opportunities available within their communities. For families who are new to an area, experiencing isolation or supporting a child with additional needs, having a regular welcoming activity can provide an important sense of connection. Our programmes therefore aim to support not only individual children but also stronger, healthier and more connected communities. Supporting Physical Wellbeing With support from Sport England, Blossomify developed opportunities for children, parents and carers to be physically active together through Cambourne Movers. The programme encouraged families to enjoy movement in a relaxed and supportive environment. This work reflects our wider approach to wellbeing. We believe children flourish when educational development, social wellbeing and physical health are considered together. SEND-Friendly and Inclusive Inclusion is an important part of Blossomify’s approach. Our activities welcome children and young people with a range of abilities and needs, including those with SEND, emerging additional needs or awaiting further assessment or support. We recognise that children learn, communicate and participate differently. Our sessions therefore use flexible approaches including: small-group support; board games and practical activities; clear routines; opportunities for movement; calm encouragement; and different ways for young people to participate. Our aim is simple: children should not have to fit into one narrow model in order to feel that they belong. Volunteers Making a Difference Our 12 volunteers have played an important role in delivering our activities. They support children with learning, join games, prepare activities, welcome families and provide encouragement. Their contribution enables Blossomify to provide more personalised support while maintaining the friendly and community-led atmosphere families value. We are proud to create opportunities for local people to use their skills, experience and time to make a positive difference. Working in Partnership Our achievements during 2025–26 have been made possible through strong partnerships. We are grateful for the funding, collaboration, venues, referrals, advice and practical support received from organisations including: and our growing network of community organisations, schools, local professionals, volunteers, parents and residents. Partnership working enables Blossomify to reach more families while ensuring that our activities complement rather than duplicate existing community services. A Story of Change A young person may first arrive at Blossomify feeling uncertain about joining a group. They might stay close to someone they know or begin with a familiar board game. With regular encouragement, something begins to change. They join another activity. They speak to someone new. They ask a question. They offer an answer. They begin to look forward to attending. For us, these moments matter. They demonstrate that impact is not always about a test result or certificate. Sometimes impact is a young person developing the confidence to say: “I belong here.” Financial Stewardship Blossomify received grant funding, awards and community investment during the year to support our programmes. We aim to use funding responsibly, directing resources towards effective community delivery while maintaining appropriate systems for safeguarding, financial management, volunteer support and organisational development. We remain committed to ensuring that investment in Blossomify translates into meaningful opportunities for children, young people and families. Looking Ahead The progress made during 2025–26 gives Blossomify a strong foundation for future growth. Our priorities include: strengthening our programmes in Cambourne, Northstowe and Waterbeach; increasing opportunities for youth voice and leadership; expanding our Level-Up life-skills and wellbeing activities to another new development. strengthening SEND-friendly provision; engaging more parents and families; developing and supporting our volunteers; building further community and school partnerships; strengthening impact measurement; and diversifying our income to support long-term sustainability. Our ambition is not simply to deliver more activities. We want to help build communities where children and young people can flourish and where families feel connected, supported and able to thrive. We thank our funders, partners, volunteers, families and communities for making this years achievements possible. We especially thank the children and young people who bring energy, creativity and purpose to everything we do. Their development, wellbeing and future remain at the heart of Blossomify.
