COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

PHOENIX OUTREACH CIC

Company Number: 13045055 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2025

Company activities and impact

During this financial year, Phoenix Outreach CIC has provided accessible community-based activities designed to improve physical and mental wellbeing of children and young people. Through funded and subsidised Muay Thai sessions, we have helped young people access structured physical activity in a safe and supportive environment. The sessions focus not only on fitness and self-defence, but also on building confidence, resilience, discipline, respect an positive social skills. Our activities have particularly benefitted local children and families by reducing financial barriers to participation and giving young people opportunities to take part in activities they may otherwise have been unable to access. The sessions have also encouraged regular exercise, improved confidence and self-esteem, promoted positive behaviour and helped young people develop a stronger sense of belonging within their local community. Any funding received by Phoenix Outreach CIC has been used to support the delivery of these community activities, including coaching, venue costs, equipment and other costs directly associated with running the programmes.

Consultation with stakeholders

Phoenix Outreach CIC's stakeholders include the children and young people who attend out sessions, their parents and carers, instructors and volunteers, local community organisations, funders and members of the wider local community. We consult with our stakeholders informally and regularly through face-to-face conversations before and after sessions, feedback from parents and young people, direct messages, social media interaction and discussions with community partners and funders. Feedback has helped us understand what activities are most useful and accessible to local families, including preferred session times, age groups, affordability and the type of support young people benefit from. As a result of feedback, we have continued to focus on providing affordable and funded opportunities for children and young people, adapted sessions to suit different ages and abilities, and ensured that our programmes place a strong emphasis on confidence, discipline, resilience, respect and wellbeing as well as physical fitness. We continue to use feedback from participants, parents and community partners to help shape future sessions and identify where additional support or activities may be needed.
