Company activities and impact

BizReady Community Interest Company (CIC) supports young people aged 14–25 to develop the confidence, knowledge and practical skills needed for education, employment and entrepreneurship. During 2024–2025, BizReady CIC supported 27 young people through workshops, events and individual guidance. We delivered 24 workshops covering business fundamentals, financial literacy, creative thinking, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills. Alongside group activities, we provided more than 78 hours of one-to-one support, helping participants develop business ideas, understand financial management, create business plans and overcome challenges. A significant achievement was supporting 5 young people who successfully secured funding to launch their own businesses. This demonstrates the impact of combining practical learning, personalised guidance and encouragement, helping young people progress from ideas towards real enterprise opportunities. Our activities also helped participants strengthen their confidence, financial awareness, communication, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills. Feedback indicated that young people gained a greater understanding of business and developed a more positive outlook towards their future opportunities. Looking ahead, BizReady CIC will continue to expand practical enterprise and employability opportunities, strengthen individual support and encourage more young people to explore entrepreneurship. Our long-term aim remains to ensure young people have the knowledge, confidence and practical support to make positive decisions about their futures.
