The company's first financial year (2 December 2024 to 31 December 2025) was primarily a period of knowledge-building and community engagement, laying the groundwork for the project-focused activity that followed in 2026. During the period, the company's activity centred on producing and sharing content exploring Sikh history, philosophy and identity, including social media content, published articles and essays, and publications alongside delivering talks and workshops to the community. This work was aimed at building the company's reputation, credibility and connections within the Sikh community, and was promoted openly to the public rather than restricted to a closed audience. Alongside this, the company began planning and laying groundwork for three further strands of work that moved into active delivery in 2026: - Sikh Investors Club: a community bringing together Sikh entrepreneurs, investors and professionals to support new ventures through pitch nights and networking, directly advancing the company's objects of providing guidance to aspiring Sikh entrepreneurs and fostering job creation, financial independence and self-reliance within the community. - Azaad Debate Society: a forum for formal public debate on subjects at the intersection of Sikh thought, culture and contemporary issues, advancing the company's objects of educating the community in Sikh philosophy and its application to the modern world. - Arta Labs: a co-working, knowledge-sharing and entrepreneurship initiative giving members practical opportunities to work and collaborate alongside one another, and exposing the Sikh community to entrepreneurship through initiatives including an upcoming hackathon and a panel of onboarded entrepreneurial mentors, advancing the company's objects of fostering greater integration and valuable participation in society, and of providing guidance to aspiring Sikh entrepreneurs leading to job creation, financial independence and self-reliance. The company announced its intention to launch the Sikh Investors Club in late 2025 and began building supporting infrastructure (including a website, a volunteer team, and a waitlist) during the period, alongside early planning for the Azaad Debate Society and Arta Labs. Donations and subscriber contributions received during the period were retained rather than spent, to fund the company's activities and its future investment and grant-making work in line with its objects. No grants or investment returns were disbursed during the period. In its second financial year, this preparatory work translated into active delivery (including the public launch of all three strands) which will be reported on in next year's community interest report.
