Company activities and impact

During this year, we have supported circa 70 children to play and learn safely in a wild and natural woodland space. Of these children a good number were not in receipt of any other educational services due to existing educational settings not being able to meet their complex needs. Fortnightly groups of local people have attended the woodland setting, that we lease to access community and make a contribution by volunteering to support our work at forest school, this has supported the nature connection and well-being. This CIC has supported the foundation of a place based CIC to be founded and over the last year or so we have been moving operations to The Bramblewood Project CIC, from Wild and Rooted CIC. The Bramblewood project set up for the same aims and objects, but tied more closely to the land.

Consultation with stakeholders

All participants/stakeholders of sessions at the venue, are meaningfully invovled in decisions that affect the; all sessions are consent based and self directed which means that particpants decide and plan how their sessions run. We have regulr meetings with people that commission educational places for children and consult with parents weekly where needed. We are memeber of local community organisations including Voluntary Community Social Enterprise (VCSE) forum and are represented at local residents associations meetings.
