For the financial year ended 31 December 2025 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year in question in accordance with section 476.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 with respect to accounting records and the preparation of financial statements.

These financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors of the company have elected not to include a copy of the income statement within the financial statements.true

Accounting policies
Company information

Pyramid Theatre Productions Ltd is a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales. The registered office is 187 Drury Lane, London, WC2B 5QD.

Accounting convention

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 “The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland” (“FRS 102”) and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The disclosure requirements of section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.

The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the company. Monetary amounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.

Going concern

The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis as the directors have confirmed they will continue to provide truethe necessary funding to maintain operations and to meet the administrative costs arising for at least the next 12 months. On this basis, the directors are satisfied that the financial statements should be prepared on a going concern basis.

Turnover

Turnover from theatrical production is recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the company and the revenue can be reliably measured. Turnover is measured as the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Cash and cash equivalents

Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand, deposits held at call with banks, other short-term liquid investments with original maturities of three months or less, and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current liabilities.

Basic financial instruments

Debtors and creditors with no stated interest rate and receivable or payable within one year are recorded at the transaction price. Any losses arising from impairment are recognised in the profit and loss account in other administrative expenses.

Equity instruments

Equity instruments issued by the company are recorded at the proceeds received, net of transaction costs. Dividends payable on equity instruments are recognised as liabilities once they are no longer at the discretion of the company.

The bank loan of £10,128 (2024 - £10,128) included in creditors due within one year is a COVID Bounce Back Loan, 100% guaranteed by the government.

 

Other creditors includes production investments of £7,850,000 (2024 - £7,850,000) made up of funds received to capitalise the production. These inwards investments have no fixed date of repayment and are to be repaid when the company has sufficient available reserves after covering it's running costs. Upon full repayment of these amounts and when the company has sufficient reserves, the investors will be contractually entitled to a profit share.
