Company activities and impact

The company provides free non judgemental debt advice and budgeting support to those in financial difficulties in the South Wiltshire area. Most of our cleints are refered to us by other agencies including housing associations, the local council and health and well being services. Some clients found us through leaflets or through our website. We help people maximize their household income through support in claiming benefits and reducing expenditure. We are affiiated to the national charity Community Money Advice which gives us access to professional services and support. During 2025 we dealt with 16 substantial cases and many more enquiries and gave telephone advice. We also ran budgeting courses for clients with significant mental health issues who could not access support in any other way. For some this involved applying for a DRO, for others in meant negotiating with creditors to set up managable payment options.

Consultation with stakeholders

The companies stakeholders are our clients, our funders and our colleagues in others charities and and social services. We are audited annually by our parent charity, Commmunity Money Advice. This provides us with targets and actions to work towards to help us improve our services. We ask all our clients to fill in a questtionaire about their experience. This is monitored independantly by Community Money Advice and we recieve annonymous feedback. We produce annual reports for our funders. We attend the Salisbury City Exchange, a bi monthly meeting of charities and others working in the social welfare field in the city to hear about the work of other charities and the issues and needs facing the people in South Wiltshire.
