During the financial year, the company continued to deliver activities that provide clear community benefit by increasing access to roller skating, promoting physical and mental wellbeing, and reducing barriers to participation. We delivered free skating sessions in partnership with local youth organisations and community groups, engaging more than 100 young people from areas of multiple deprivation. These sessions provided accessible opportunities for young people to develop new skills, build confidence, improve their physical health, and form positive social connections in a safe and supportive environment. The company further expanded its skate library, enabling the refurbishment and redistribution of roller skates. By repairing and reusing equipment, we have increased access to the sport for individuals and families who may otherwise be unable to participate, while also reducing waste and promoting environmental sustainability. Throughout the year, we worked collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including youth organisations, schools, community groups, local authorities, and other partners. These partnerships have strengthened our ability to respond to community needs, extend our reach, and maximise the social impact of our activities. Through these initiatives, the company has continued to fulfil its community interest objectives by creating inclusive opportunities for participation, supporting disadvantaged young people, encouraging healthier and more active lifestyles, and fostering stronger, more connected communities.
The company's key stakeholders include young people and families who participate in our activities, local youth organisations, schools, community groups, local authorities, local councillors, volunteers, coaches, and partner organisations. Throughout the financial year, we consulted with stakeholders through regular conversations during sessions, feedback from participants and partner organisations, informal discussions with parents and carers, and ongoing engagement with community partners. We also worked closely with local councillors representing areas of multiple deprivation, including Beeston, Belle Isle and Hunslet, to better understand local needs, identify barriers to participation, and ensure our activities reached the communities that would benefit most. Feedback received has directly informed the development of our activities. In response to requests for more affordable access to roller skating, we expanded our skate library to increase the availability of refurbished roller skates for participants. We also continued to deliver free skating sessions in partnership with local youth organisations, helping to reach more than 100 young people from areas of multiple deprivation. Collaboration with local councillors and partner organisations has helped us identify priority communities, strengthen local partnerships, and shape programmes that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to local need across communities including Beeston, Belle Isle and Hunslet. The company will continue to engage with stakeholders to ensure its activities deliver meaningful and lasting community benefit and remain aligned with its community interest objectives.
