  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when goods have been delivered to customers such that risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to them. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives: Computer equipment: 25% straight line

    Other accounting policies

    Inventories have been valued at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell. In respect of work in progress and finished goods, cost includes a relevant proportion of overheads according to the stage of manufacturing/completion.

Company activities and impact

Hera Mindful Healing provides accessible online mental wellbeing support alongside inclusive community-based activities. Our work includes an online mental wellbeing community offering resources, information, positive support and practical tools to help individuals manage their mental wellbeing. We also deliver Singing for the Soul (SFTS), a weekly group session created for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, neurodiversity and mental health challenges. Singing for the Soul provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where participants can come together through singing, music and performance. The sessions encourage confidence, self-expression, friendship, connection and a sense of belonging, helping individuals to be heard, valued and given the opportunity to shine. Hera Mindful Healing is currently supporting 1700 members through its online community, although this number can increase daily. The primary objective is to provide accessible mental wellbeing support to individuals who may face financial limitations or difficulties accessing mainstream services, while also creating opportunities for connection, creativity, inclusion and personal development through community activities such as Singing for the Soul. Activities Online Mental Wellbeing Community: Hera Mindful Healing provides an accessible online community where members can access positive support, mental wellbeing information, practical resources and tools to help them manage their wellbeing. Singing for the Soul: Singing for the Soul is a weekly inclusive singing and performance session created for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, neurodiversity and mental health challenges. The sessions provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where participants can develop confidence, build friendships, express themselves through music and performance, and experience a strong sense of belonging. Daily Positive Affirmations and Information: To infuse positivity into participants' daily lives, Hera Mindful Healing shares daily posts featuring positive affirmations and relevant mental wellbeing information. This consistent communication helps cultivate a positive mindset. Group Resources: Hera Mindful Healing provides a repository of resources that include written materials, guided meditations, guides, and blogs. These resources offer valuable insights and practical strategies for supporting mental wellbeing. Guided Meditations: The group offers five original recorded guided meditation sessions aimed at promoting relaxation, mindfulness, enhanced sleep and stress reduction. These meditations empower participants to incorporate mindfulness into their daily routines. Written Resources: Hera Mindful Healing produces comprehensive written resources, including guides and blogs, which provide information and practical advice relating to mental wellbeing. Monthly Meditation Circle: The monthly meditation circle provides participants with a dedicated space for group meditation sessions. This collective experience fosters a sense of unity and enhances mindfulness practices. Bi-Monthly Guest Alternative Therapists: To diversify the support options, Hera Mindful Healing invites guest alternative therapists such as Pranic healers, positive mindset coaches, subconscious mind trainers, and reiki masters. These experts offer participants exposure to alternative approaches for improving mental wellbeing. Impact and Benefits Accessibility: The group addresses the needs of individuals who may lack access to conventional mental wellbeing services due to financial constraints or limited mainstream provision. Empowerment: Participants gain access to information, mindfulness techniques, coping strategies and alternative approaches that can support their mental wellbeing. Community: The online community and SFTS group foster a sense of belonging and connection, helping to reduce isolation and loneliness. Inclusion and Confidence: Singing for the Soul provides an inclusive space for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, neurodiversity and mental health challenges to participate in singing and performance, build confidence, develop relationships and experience a sense of achievement. Education: The diverse range of resources and guest expertise provides members with information and different approaches to supporting mental wellbeing. Hera Mindful Healing provides a combination of online mental wellbeing support and inclusive community activity. Through its online community and Singing for the Soul sessions, the organisation creates opportunities for people to access support, develop confidence, build meaningful connections and improve their overall sense of wellbeing and quality of life.

Hera Mindful Healing has successfully implemented a strategic approach to engage its members and tailor its content to meet their specific mental wellbeing needs. By utilising polls on the online platform, the organisation has gathered valuable insights into the subjects and topics that matter most to its community. This approach has enhanced member engagement and enabled the creation of relevant and impactful content. Hera Mindful Healing's commitment to providing holistic mental wellbeing support is reflected in its proactive strategy of engaging members in content development. The utilisation of polls on the online platform allows members to voice their preferences and needs, helping the organisation align its content with the interests of its community. Hera Mindful Healing's polling strategy involves regular interaction with members through online polls designed to gauge their interests, preferences and concerns relating to mental wellbeing. Members are encouraged to identify the topics most relevant to their personal journeys. By involving the community in content development, Hera Mindful Healing has increased engagement, tailored its offerings and fostered a stronger sense of belonging. This approach benefits individual members while strengthening the overall impact and reach of the organisation. SFTS has peer support workers who help create a safe and supportive environment. All members are encouraged to have a voice and contribute ideas. Members are encouraged to choose songs they would like the group to sing and perform. Members are actively included in decisions about music and performances. This gives members a genuine sense of ownership, confidence, independence and self expression.
