Investment in subsidiary undertaking The company holds 100% of the issued ordinary share capital of 3 Briars Close Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales. The principal activity of 3 Briars Close Limited is construction of a new build residential project. The investment in the subsidiary undertaking is stated at cost less any provision for impairment. Consolidated financial statements The company is a parent undertaking and has taken advantage of the exemption available under section 398 of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirement to prepare consolidated financial statements, on the grounds that the company and the group headed by it qualify as small. These financial statements therefore present information about the company as an individual undertaking and not about its group.
