Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Give back beauty limited is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 12643884 . The registered office is 19 The Circle, Queen Elizabeth Street, London, England, SE1 2JE.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.
2.2. Going Concern Disclosure
The company is reliant for its working capital on funds provided to it by Give Back Beauty S.p.a, the ultimate parent
undertaking, who has confirmed that they will continue to make such funds available to the Company for a period of
12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements and, in particular, will not seek repayment of the
amounts currently made available. This should enable the company to continue in operational existence for the
foreseeable future by meeting its liabilities as they fall due.
As with any company placing reliance on other group entities for financial support, the directors acknowledge that
there can be no certainty that this support will continue although, at the date of approval of these financial
statements, they have no reason to believe that it will not do so. On this basis, the directors consider it appropriate to
prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
2.3. Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.
The company earns royalties from other group companies in relation to the sale of products for which the company holds the license. Royalty income is recognised on an accrual’s basis in accordance with the substance of the relevant agreement.
Sale of goods
Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods has transferred to the buyer. This is usually at the point that the customer has signed for the delivery of the goods.
Rendering of services
Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs. Turnover is only recognised to the extent of recoverable expenses when the outcome of a contract cannot be estimated reliably.
2.4. Intangible Fixed Assets and Amortisation - Other Intangible
Intangible assets are start up costs and Licences It is amortised to profit and loss account over its estimated economic life of 3 year in case of a start up cost and 10 year for Licences.
2.5. Foreign Currencies
The functional currency of the company is USD as it is considered to be the primary currency that the business operates in.
The presentation currency is GBP in order to be consistent with other entities within the group. Monetary assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into the functional currency  at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into the functional currency at the rate ruling on the date of the transaction. Exchange differences arising from translation into the functional currency are taken into account in arriving at the operating profit. All assets and liabilities (except share capital) are translated from the functional currency of USD to the presentation currency of GBP at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. All profit and loss accounts are translated to the presentation currency at the rate ruling on the date of transaction. Differences arising on the translation from the functional currency to the presentation currency are taken to other comprehensive income.

2.6. Taxation
Income tax expense represents the sum of the tax currently payable and deferred tax.
The tax currently payable is based on taxable profit for the year. Taxable profit differs from profit as reported in the statement of comprehensive income because of items of income or expense that are taxable or deductible in other years and items that are never taxable or deductible. The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.
Deferred tax is recognised on timing differences between the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities in the financial statements and the corresponding tax bases used in the computation of taxable profit. Deferred tax liabilities are generally recognised for all taxable timing differences. Deferred tax assets are generally recognised for all deductible temporary differences to the extent that it is probable that taxable profits will be available against which those deductible timing differences can be utilised. The carrying amount of deferred tax assets is reviewed at the end of each reporting period and reduced to the extent that it is no longer probable that sufficient taxable profits will be available to allow all or part of the asset to be recovered.
Deferred tax assets and liabilities are measured at the tax rates that are expected to apply in the period in which the liability is settled or the asset realised, based on tax rates (and tax laws) that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period. Deferred tax liabilities are presented within provisions for liabilities and deferred tax assets within debtors. The measurement of deferred tax liabilities and assets reflect the tax consequences that would follow from the manner in which the Company expects, at the end of the reporting period, to recover or settle the carrying amount of its assets and liabilities.
Current and deferred tax are recognised in profit or loss for the year, except when they relate to items that are recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity, in which case current and deferred tax are recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity respectively.
2.7. Investments
Investments in subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures are measured at cost less any accumulated impairment
losses. Listed investments are measured at fair value. Unlisted investments are measured at fair value unless the
value cannot be measured reliably, in which case they are measured at cost less any accumulated impairment losses.
Changes in fair value are included in the profit and loss account.
2.8. Cash and Cash Equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and include cash in hand, deposits held at call with
banks, other short-term liquid investments with original maturities of three months or less, and bank
overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings in current liabilities.
2.9. Trade and Other Debtors
Trade and other debtors are measured at transaction price less any impairment. An impairment provision is made
when there is evidence that the company may not collect all amounts due.
2.9 Trade and Other Creditors
Trade and other creditors are initially recognised at transaction price and measured at amortised cost. They include
amounts owed to suppliers, accruals for unpaid expenses, taxes, and amounts due to group companies. All are
classified as current liabilities unless payable after more than 12 months.
