The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The Directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.
The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit and loss account under section 444 (5A) Companies Act 2006.

1.	Accounting policies

	Statutory information
	The company is a private company limited by shares and registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page. One share is issued to each property owner on the site.

	Statement of compliance
	The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006 and FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland including Section 1A Small Entities.

	Basis of preparation
	The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, the financial reporting standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard). The company is non profit making and all monies received and expended are on behalf of the owners of the properties on the site and do not accrue to the company. On this basis a profit and loss account has not been prepared and in accordance with accepted accounting practice, the service charge and relevant assets and liabilities are treated separate to the company. Assets and liabilities of the service charge are shown in a separate statement, which is not filed at Companies House. This in accordance with the law and professional best practice recommended by teh accounting bodies, the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) and the Royal Institute of Chargered Surveyors (RCIS)

	Functional and presentation currency
	The financial statements are presented in sterling and this is the functional currency of the company.

	Foreign currency translation
	Transactions in foreign currencies are initially recognised at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of the transaction. At the end of each reporting period foreign currency monetary items are translated at the closing rate of exchange. Non-monetary items that are measured at historical cost are translated at the rate ruling at the date of the transaction. All differences are charged to profit or loss.

	Freehold land and buildings consist of the common amenity areas of the estate which were acquired by the company at a cost of £1.

	The directors of the company are owners of properties in Mead Court and pay maintenance charges to the company.
