During 2025/26 financial year we have continued to grow our reputation in the field of dance and health, delivering weekly dance sessions to older patients in 3 Hospitals in Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare and monthly Yoga sessions in Bristol Children’s Hospital. Our weekly classes for Misfits theatre continue and our Dance for Parkinson’s class at Coniston Community Centre and our weekly community Yoga class at FACE are very well attended. We now have some well embedded projects that receive a lot of positive recognition. Our company business development project has continued with new partnerships made with Bath University. In early 2026 Business Masters students created a marketing plan for us and in April 2026 we offered the opportunity for a 6-week internship with the company. During 25/26, we have continued to raise the company profile, received further funding to support projects and the continuation of our hospital-based work, engaged many new participants in dance and movement - we continue to engage around 160+ participants across all our sessions every week.
he Company Stakeholders are: the performers and artists who deliver the work; audiences who see and participate in our performance work; workshop participants; people who attend our regular classes/projects and partners/funders of our work. We receive a lot of informal positive feedback from audiences (includes patients, visitors and staff) who experience our work. Workshop/class participants are asked to give regular informal feedback and where appropriate to fill in evaluation forms. Our response to the feedback that we receive is to allow it to inform the development and improvement of future areas of our work. We evaluate all our workshop sessions on a weekly basis. Members of the Company are regularly asked for feedback and ideas for development of future projects.
No remuneration was received by the Directors of The Original Spinners CIC - Rachael James, Rachael Walsh & Bianca Bertalot for their roles as Directors. We do however work as freelancers delivering the companies workshops, projects, and performances. In the company financial year, the amounts of freelance income received by directors: Rachael James received £ 32,152.50 as freelance income planning and leading company workshops, projects, and performances. Rachael Walsh received £ 17,975.00 as freelance income delivering company workshops, projects, and performances. Bianca Bertalot received £ 5000.00 as freelance income for delivering company projects and working in a business development role for the company.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
