RECOVERY CODE X COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 14656781 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 28 February 2026

Company activities and impact

During the financial year from 2025 to 2026, Recovery Code X ran a 6 month online therapeutic peer support service for 10 low-income female victims and survivors of sexual violence and exploitation self-identifying or diagnosed with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (Complex PTSD). Feedback showed that being with others who understand how they feel and learning about how to identify and manage triggers was empowering. We delivered a therapeutic Catch up and Connect Away Day at Turvey Abbey for Survivors Hub members - those who had completed one or more of our programmes. The Away Day, led by two experienced facilitators, created feelings of calm, connection, being grounded and in control of their nervous system. The women cited being able to be present in nature and quiet spaces for reflection helped. Staff attended networking events to strengthen partnership working and develop new connections. It also helped raise awareness of Complex PTSD among vulnerable groups.

Consultation with stakeholders

Office of the Police Crime Commissioner Bedfordshire - we accepted an invitation by the commissioner to attend the launch of Her Space Bedfordshire, a new network created by Bedfordshire Police to bring together organisations supporting women across the county. We listened to the challenges and experiences of other charities and CICs in Beds and made useful connections, some of which led to collaborations later. Florence Ball House Clinic - we responded to requests for our CPTSD information leaflets and liaised with clinical staff for referrals to our Heart2Heart programme. Local women with Complex PTSD - we recorded feedback on our sessions in the form of online surveys, CORE Ten surveys and testimonials. We raised money for a much requested members Away Day. London-based women's refuges and domestic violence support centres - we obtained referrals for our Heart2Heart online programme.
