Company activities and impact

In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. In Year 2 Stress Less 4 Wellness CIC has offered its services to women in the community suffering with low mood, anxiety and overwhelm who want to improve their own physical and mental health. It was found that following the pilot the numbers dwindled considerably at Heathfield House Services have been offered online and there is some take up. These sessions run on mornings to enable people to do some gentle exercise based on Yoga and meet as a community. They take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 0900 to 0945. In addition, a Sunday evening wind down session with relaxation techniques. One participant reported that she feels less lonely and looks forward to these sessions “It’s like family” she says. There are discussions about healthy living, sharing of recipes, and one small group arranged a bird watching event in the local park. This positive impact on the loneliness epidemic is encouraging.

Consultation with stakeholders

I met with Community Development staff at Heathfield House to explore the possibilities of Stress Less 4 Wellness sessions as part of their Over 50s Support Programme. The numbers were so low, I decided to invite their participants to online services
