COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

TEKSHAQQ C.I.C.

Company Number: 15302502 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2025

Company activities and impact

During the year, TEKSHAQQ C.I.C. promoted digital inclusion, skills, career awareness and participation in technology, particularly for people and communities who may be underrepresented or face barriers to digital opportunities. Key activities included: - Black Digital Innovators Showcase (October 2025): A ten-day community exhibition at Barking Learning Centre featuring 30 present-day Black technology innovators. It attracted 71 in-person visitors, 27 additional online registrants and engagement with 40 people through street and event interviews. Approximately 1,800 flyers were distributed, and eight local primary schools and a local college were approached. Participant feedback demonstrated increased awareness, aspiration and interest in digital careers, skills and enterprise. TEKSHAQQ also provided career and enterprise resources and signposting. - AI Week 2025 (October 2025): TEKSHAQQ delivered AI Belongs to Everyone to an international online audience, attracting 522 registrations. Two free evidence-informed resources on inclusive AI/SEND and children's screen time and AI literacy were made available, generating 10 downloads. - Wider digital inclusion activity (October 2025): Following AI Week, TEKSHAQQ was invited to deliver Living At Cause: Empowering Individuals and Strengthening Communities Through Digital Inclusion virtually to approximately 15 participants in Ireland and received positive feedback. - Free digital career resources: TEKSHAQQ continued to provide its Get Into Tech Guide, blog content and other free resources through its website and mailing list. Users reported that these resources had helped them understand digital career opportunities and practical next steps. Evenbreak, a specialist employment organisation supporting disabled people, independently reviewed the Get Into Tech Guide, considered it useful for its audience and requested permission to feature it in its job hub. Overall, TEKSHAQQ's activities increased access to inclusive digital education and career information, challenged underrepresentation in technology, strengthened digital confidence and aspiration, and extended the company's community benefit locally, nationally and internationally.

Consultation with stakeholders

TEKSHAQQ engaged with community members, event participants, schools, education representatives, users of its digital resources and external organisations. For the Black Digital Innovators Showcase, 40 people of different ages and ethnic backgrounds participated in interviews exploring awareness and needs. Written, verbal, activity-based and video feedback was also collected from Showcase participants. This identified demand for digital upskilling, technology career support and enterprise development and helped inform future resources and activities. TEKSHAQQ also engaged eight local primary schools and a local college; received feedback from users of its online resources and mailing list; and engaged with Evenbreak, which reviewed the Get Into Tech Guide and requested permission to share it with its audience. Feedback was also received following TEKSHAQQ's digital inclusion presentation to participants in Ireland. This stakeholder engagement helped TEKSHAQQ assess community needs, evaluate the accessibility and usefulness of its resources, and inform future service development, outreach and collaboration.
