This past year Valued Voices have built on its workshop delivery programme with new workshops encouraging people to have difficult conversation through the "Conversations with Courage" programme which has been delivered in different community centres in North Cumbria. This has encouraged people in these local communities and community centres to have better more quality conversations, leading to potential positive change and greater cohesion. The organisation has also increased their engagement with the wider community through attending a number of events over the year showcasing the what it means to have inclusive and accessible information available, and how Valued Voices can help organisations do this. VV has also worked in partnerships with a wide range of organisations to develop the "John Kent Project" which aims to tell the story of the first Black British Policeman who was based in Carlisle. This project has enabled VV to promote its aims of equality and belonging, while also enabling a range of different organisations from Private, Public and Charity sectors to work together with a common goal.
