In the financial year ACL Collective CIC kept on making a significant contribution to the local Bedfordshire community by organising creative, inclusive and family-oriented events. A major emphasis was placed on the development and delivery of Biggles Fun Day, a family festival held in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, which combined the Outdoor Market, the theatre and the library areas. The event offered families the chance to take part in creative activities, see live performances, explore the local facilities and meet other members of the community. Together with the Biggles Fun Day, the ACL Collective CIC carried out thorough preparation and planning for Grow Wild, which involved coming up with ideas, forming partnerships, arranging the activities, and laying the foundations for the future project. Even though the Grow Wild event had not occurred during that financial year, this preparatory work opened up possibilities for future community engagement and creative participation. By means of these activities, ACL Collective CIC provided families and communities in Bedfordshire with the opportunity to get together, to have access to arts and cultural events, and to take part in their local community. The work also helped to improve relations with local venues and community organisations in order that further creative and community-oriented activities might take place in the future.
Our stakeholders are Bedfordshire local families, suppliers, freelance creatives, partners & beneficiaries of the area. Our stakeholders are consulted with regularly to develop our work and we respond to their feedback. For our Biggles Fun Day project we engaged with an overall total of 1015 local people through storytelling sessions at Biggleswade Library on 28th May 2025 & 29th July 2025 (total of attendees = 68), a creative workshop day at Biggleswade Library on 20th August 2025 (total of attendees = 18), and the Biggles Fun Day on 30th August 2025 which took place across Biggleswade Library, Biggleswade Market, and The BIGG Theatre (total attendees = 929). Over 90% of attendees rated the project 8 out of 10 or above on a scale of 1 being terrible and 10 being great, and feedback stated that it was a great event and want to see more events like this within local communities from ACL Collective. We began our Grow Wild event during this time period. We began planning the event and connected with Raynham Way Community Centre. Using our feedback from these projects, we will continue to grow ACL Collective CIC and continue to engage local communities in high quality events.
