WalkwithMeUK delivered a non-judgmental support and guidance service that equips parents, carers, guardians and professional’s with strategies and tools to practically manage challenging/difficult behaviours such as violence, controlling experiences which are often due to or linked to school exclusions, additional needs (SEND), grooming, child exploitation, child on parent abuse amongst children and young people using the Non - Violent Resistance (NVR) approach. Programme Highlights - Online -5 weeks -1.5 hours via ZOOM to use the NVR tools with immediate effect -3-minute Mindfulness Exercise per session -Certificate of Achievement Ceremony for graduate parents -FREE once a month aftercare NVR Support Club/Catch Up -Opportunity to be a Graduate Parent Facilitator/Ambassador The benefits Reduce conflict, regain love empathy, respect to keep families connect – strengthen, rebuild, repair relationships. Aftercare Service Once a month parent aftercare ongoing support Online – a safe space online to relax, share ideas, support each other and to be supported – hosting 1 hour in the morning and evening. We collected feedback for every session, in total 61 responses. An independent ongoing support has been created because of this service. 30 members
Our major stakeholders are the parents, carers, guardians and professionals we support. As part of our programme and information workshops that we host we ask each participant to complete a feedback. This feedback informs us on what to do to better to serve our stakeholders, equally what has been beneficial / life changing for most. During the period, we supported / worked with 19 clients obtaining weekly feedback about each session and feedback about the service overall at the end of each cohort. The parent programmes are held in the morning and evening
