The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 August 2025

Principal activities of the company

Over the last 12 months we organised and delivered the following activities -Pensioners Coffee Mornings – opportunity for people feeling lonely to get together, have a chat over a cup of coffee and a biscuit. Exchange views on social matters, opportunity to share their life experiences. -We ran twice a week Lunch Club for older people and pensioners- these includes indoor games, hot meals, tea and coffee refreshment, up to 30 service users -We delivered food program to support people on low income. Through the program, we were able to assist 49 families, this alleviated their financial burden and reduced their stress. -We ran a weekly Physical Activities including Walking exercise and Yoga sessions for 30 service users that improve their mental and physical wellbeing. -Our volunteers Carried out outreach work-networking and liaising with vulnerable people and their Carers. Across Newham.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover represents grants, donations and training income. Income included revenue grants is recognised when the entity is legally entitled to the income and when any performance related conditions are met. Deferred government grants in respect of capital expenditure are treated as deferred income and are credited to the profit and loss account over the estimated useful life to which they relate.

    Other accounting policies

    Taxation The current corporation tax charge is calculated on the basis of tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the reporting date in the countries where the company operates and generates taxable income.

Stakeholders -Newham Council – Funding and ensuring service uses access appropriate social and welfare service, i.e., housing issues. -NHS – Nurses and health visitors who offer health and wellness advise, i.e., food and nutritional support. -Volunteers – translation services to reduce barriers. Fitness training. Leisure and recreational activities. -Service Users – those registered to access Ekota Care services in Newham. -Trust and Foundations. Supported our pilot survey project called 50+
