2 Guarantees and other financial commitments
Other than contributions payable to the company's defined contribution pension scheme, there were no guarantees or other financial commitments at the reporting date.
2A. Income recognition and deferred income
The company's income consists wholly of voluntary donations and grants; the company has no turnover from trading activities. Unrestricted donations are recognised when received. Grants received subject to conditions specified by the funder are deferred to the extent that those conditions have not been fulfilled at the reporting date, and are recognised as income as the conditions are met. Deferred grant income of £15,442 (2024: £26,132) is included within accruals and deferred income. The remaining balance within accruals and deferred income comprises accrued expenses.
2B. Taxation
The company is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Its income comprises wholly voluntary donations and grants for which no goods or services are provided in return. Such income does not arise from a source chargeable to corporation tax, and accordingly no provision for corporation tax arises on the surplus for the year. The tax charge of £302 in the income statement relates to corporation tax assessed in respect of the year ended 30 November 2024, which had not been provided for in the accounts for that year.
2C. Members' liability
The company is limited by guarantee and has no share capital. Each member undertakes to contribute an amount not exceeding £1 to the assets of the company in the event of it being wound up while they are a member, or within one year of ceasing to be a member. Surpluses are applied solely in furtherance of the company's objects and are not distributed to members.
3 Average number of employees
During the year the average number of employees was 5 (2024: 4).

For the year ending 30 November 2025 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and FRS 105, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable to the Micro-entities Regime. The accounts have been delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime. The profit and loss account has not been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.
