During the year, Nourished Routes CIC continued to provide community-based educational, childcare and family support activities aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of children and families within the communities it serves. The company's activities included the delivery of after-school provision for children and families, providing accessible and supportive services designed to respond to practical community needs. In furtherance of its community purpose, Nourished Routes CIC seeks to promote healthy eating through practical skills and theoretical learning; educate and demonstrate the benefits of physical care and wellbeing through fitness and wellbeing activities; provide tools and education to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, helping to build positive body confidence and self-esteem; contribute towards reducing health inequalities within the local community; address childhood obesity through appropriate activity, education and exercise; and improve physical and mental wellbeing through services focused on prevention, early intervention and positive health promotion. During the year, the company's resources were applied towards the delivery and continued development of its programmes and services for the benefit of the community.
The company's stakeholders include members of the company and members of the community that Nourished Routes CIC serves. During the year, the company engaged with children, parents, families and other participants through the delivery of its community activities. Feedback and ongoing communication with those using and participating in the company's services helped the company understand community needs and informed the continued delivery and development of its programmes.
