During the year, Take a Deep Breath CIC continued to provide mental health and wellbeing support through music, singing, songwriting and other creative arts activities. The CIC uses creative and performing arts as a way of bringing people together, encouraging self-expression and providing supportive opportunities for individuals and groups who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health and wellbeing. Activities during the year included the delivery of creative sessions and workshops, supported through grant funding, with teaching, venue and workshop costs incurred in delivering these activities to the community. Through its work, the CIC continues to promote greater awareness and understanding of mental health, encourage open discussion and help reduce the stigma that can surround mental health difficulties. Its aim remains to provide support and opportunities where these may otherwise be unavailable, using creativity and music to improve wellbeing and benefit the wider community.
