1. What activities did your CIC undertake to benefit the community during the year? During the year, HART HKERS FC CIC organized regular football training sessions, friendly matches, and community events to support the well-being and integration of people from Hong Kong who have recently settled in the UK. Our activities aimed to provide a sense of belonging, promote physical health, and build mutual support among Hongkongers living in the UK. We held weekly training sessions and organized multiple friendly matches and gatherings, which helped establish strong social connections and community spirit among participants. 2. How did your activities help the community? Our programs created a welcoming environment where people from Hong Kong could connect, engage in physical activity, and adapt to life in the UK more smoothly. Through regular football sessions and team events, participants benefited from improved physical health, reduced social isolation, and enhanced mental well-being. We also helped new arrivals build networks and integrate into their local communities through sport. 3. How did you use your surplus/profit? The surplus of £244.43 was entirely reinvested into community activities. This included covering costs for training equipment, jerseys, pitch bookings, and event expenses. No dividends were paid, and no personal gain was made. 100% of funds were used to further our community objectives. 4. Future Plans We plan to expand our outreach to more Hongkongers across different regions of the UK, including organizing more community football matches, training sessions, and social events. We are also exploring collaboration opportunities with other local organizations that support Hong Kong migrants to strengthen community building and social inclusion through sport.
We continuously engaged with our members through WhatsApp groups, social media, and in-person feedback during training and matches. Key decisions such as venue bookings, event formats, and use of funds were made collectively with input from our members and volunteers.
