During its first year, The Red Rebel Collective CIC operated across two connected strands in Margate and Thanet: Red Rebel FM, a feminist community radio station, and direct support for people affected by PMDD and perimenopause. Red Rebel FM gave paid airtime to local DJs and producers through venues and promoters including Kerb Events, Next Door Records and OutSavvy, with the station retaining a share of that income to cover its running costs. This created a platform for underrepresented artists in the local music scene while building a self-sustaining income stream for the CIC. The station marked its first birthday in June 2025 with a fundraising event. With a £1,685.95 Boost grant from Social Enterprise Kent, the company delivered free PMDD and perimenopause wellbeing workshops in Margate, contracting a workshop facilitator for over 30 hours across the year and providing hands-on materials and activities. This gave local people access to menstrual health support and information that would otherwise carry a cost barrier. This work is grounded in a community survey the company ran exploring experiences of severe PMS, PMDD, mental health and access to support, which drew more than 100 responses and highlighted widespread isolation, a lack of understanding, and a strong desire for regular, community-based PMDD support. That evidence, together with direct feedback from around 50 workshop participants, shaped the year's programme and fed into a successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund for ongoing monthly PMDD peer-support circles. The company also ran a PMDD awareness stall at We Out Here Festival, reaching festival attendees with information on a condition that remains widely misunderstood and under-diagnosed, and received an £890 donation from the festival in support of the work. Together, these activities raised awareness of PMDD and perimenopause, gave free access to health information and community support, and created paid platforming and coordination opportunities within the local music and health sectors.

The company's main stakeholders are the local DJs and producers who receive paid airtime and event work (including Abbie Neill, Rebecca Booker, Laura Jayne Everet and D A Holgate), the venues and promoters the station works with (including Kerb Events and Next Door Records), people affected by PMDD and perimenopause who take part in workshops and support, Social Enterprise Kent as funder of the Boost grant, We Out Here Festival, and Red Rebel FM's listeners and the wider Margate and Thanet community. Stakeholder engagement during the year included a community survey exploring experiences of severe PMS, PMDD, mental health and access to support, which drew more than 100 responses and highlighted widespread isolation, a lack of understanding, and a strong desire for regular, community-based PMDD support. This was reinforced by direct feedback from around 50 workshop participants, gathered through group discussion, feedback forms and informal conversation before and after sessions, many of whom asked for a regular space to connect with others experiencing similar symptoms rather than one-off sessions. In response, this feedback formed the basis of a successful application to the National Lottery Community Fund in 2026 for a programme of monthly PMDD peer-support circles. It also helped to win the Thanet Health Innovation Award in 2026 to deliver an 8 week PMDD symptom management course. The company plans to put more structured feedback channels in place as it grows.

Of the company's three directors, only Lisa Higgins received remuneration, £2,295.09 across the year, invoiced for project coordination, workshop facilitation and DJ work (Jan, Mar, Aug and Sep 2025), reflecting her role as the only director who also acts as a facilitator. The other two directors received no pay, fees, or benefits during the year. These payments to Lisa were not run through PAYE at the time. Following advice, the company is now in the process of registering as an employer with HMRC so future payments to her are correctly processed through payroll. No dividends or benefits in kind were paid to any director.
