In addition, we have further developed our links with the local Community Centres We have continued to support young people by working in collaboration with Fersands & Fountain SCIO, providing counselling services and we support staff with ongoing workshops. Working with local Aberdeen Community Centres, we offer counselling services to people who live in their catchment areas. Now in our second year working with Cornhill Community Centre Management team we continue to support local people with mental health issues offering Coping Strategies workshops and Employability workshops. The employability workshops are held in collaboration with Aberdeen Council. We continue our collaboration with the Links Workers in Aberdeen. They are attached to Doctors Medical Centres. We have built up strong links with this group and the Links workers refer their clients who need support to improve their mental health to Third Level Foundation.
The company’s stakeholders are clients who use the services, and also the local community centres Henry Rae Middlefields, Woodside/Fersands & Fountain SCIO, Cornhill Community Centre, Tillydrone Community Centre and Printfield Community Project,. The director of the company has lived in this local area for a number of years and developed the business through building relationships with the local Community Centres. She is also part of the Cornhill Community Centre Management team. Third Level Foundation has frequent meetings with our stakeholders to discuss feedback and reflect on this to evaluate whether we need to change/develop anything. Clients using our counselling service directly are asked for feedback for our own evaluation of the service. We have also built connections with ST Georges Community Centre in Tillydrone, Aberdeen an plan to develop Employability workshops here too. Another planned project for the Community Centres is to build a support group for couples and a group for families affected by Functional Neorological Disorder.
