During the financial year, WEST BEARS CIC delivered community-based sports and activity sessions including half term sports camps for children and young people. The programme provided opportunities for children to participate in rugby and other activities in a supportive group environment. Qualified coaches and session workers supported the delivery of the activities, with sports equipment and activity materials provided for participants. The programme also provided branded t-shirts to help children feel part of the group and included an end-of-session celebration to recognise the children's achievements. Marketing and engagement activities were used to promote the programme and encourage participation. The activities benefited the local community by providing children and young people with opportunities to take part in sport and structured activities, develop their skills and confidence, and participate positively as part of a group.
The company's key stakeholders included parents/carers, children and young people, coaches/session workers, schools and the venue/community club. The company engaged regularly with these stakeholders through meetings with key stakeholders, questionnaires and feedback received through social media. Feedback from stakeholders was used to inform and improve the delivery of the company's activities, including the organisation of sessions, activities and support provided to participants. The company continued to engage with stakeholders throughout the year to understand their experiences and respond to feedback.
