COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

SOBER HAVEN C.I.C.

Company Number: 15298805 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2025

Company activities and impact

Sober Haven CIC provides vital community support across Essex by creating safe, alcohol-free spaces and events for individuals recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. During this financial year, the company directly benefited the local community through the following activities: Delivered 9 two-night sober detox retreats, providing intensive peer support, mental health toolkits, and healthy coping strategies to residents. Hosted 7 sober community events, reducing social isolation and building a sustainable, local peer-support network. Community Impact: These activities have directly improved the mental health, well-being, and long-term sobriety of our participants. By supporting individuals to maintain their recovery, our activities have also delivered a wider community benefit by reducing the strain on local statutory health services and supporting families affected by substance misuse within the Essex area.

Consultation with stakeholders

Who the stakeholders are: Our primary stakeholders are individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse in Essex, our retreat guests, event attendees, and local peer-support volunteers. How they have been consulted: We consult our stakeholders through post-event feedback forms, digital surveys after retreats, and informal group discussions at the end of each session to understand what elements of the program helped them most. Actions taken in response to feedback: Based on direct stakeholder feedback requesting more continuous support between intensive retreats, we introduced [Example: more regular 1-day sober events / a digital community group / follow-up check-ins] to help them maintain their sobriety long-term.
