| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| As this is the company's first financial period,no comparatives figures are presented. |
| Taxation |
| Taxation for the period comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
| Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
| Deferred tax |
| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the period end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |

| Turnover |

| Investments in subsidiary undertakings |
| Investments in subsidiary undertakings are stated at cost less any provision for impairment. The carrying value of investments is reviewed at each reporting date and an impairment loss is recognised where the recoverable amount is less than the carrying amount. |
| Preference shares |
| Preference shares which are not redeemable, and on which dividends are payable only at the discretion of the company, are classified as equity. Preference shares which carry an obligation to deliver cash,whether by way of redemption or a mandatory dividend, are classified as financial liabilities. |

| Exemption from preparing group accounts |
| The company is a parent company that heads a group qualifying as small under section 383 of Companies Act 2006. The company has therefore taken advantage of the exemption in section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 not to prepare group accounts. These financial statements present information about the company as an individual entity and not about its group. |
| Going Concern |
| The directors have considered the company's ability to continue as a going concern, taking into account the financial position and trading performance of its subsidiary undertakings and the continued support available within the group. On that basis the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a |
