| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Intangible assets |
| The company uses the successful efforts method of accounting for oil and gas operations, under which all licence acquisitions, exploration and evaluation costs are capitalised within intangible assets and classified as exploration and evaluation costs. Directly attributable administration costs are capitalised where they relate to specific exploration activities. Costs incurred prior to obtaining the legal rights to explore an area are expensed to the income statement. |
| If commercial reserves are not discovered or licenses are relinquished, these exploration and evaluation assets are written off to the income statement. Amounts carried on the balance sheet are at each balance sheet date assessed for impairment. |

| Financial instruments |
| Basic financial instruments are recognised at amortised cost, except for investments in nonconvertible |
| preference and non-puttable ordinary shares which are measured at fair value, with changes recognised in profit or loss. Derivative financial instruments are initially recorded at cost and thereafter at fair value with changes recognised in profit or loss. |

| The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate. |
| Going concern |
| The financial statements are prepared on the basis that the Company will continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future given the continuing financial support of its parent company. |
| Joint venture |
| The company contracts with others through unincorporated joint ventures to pursue its operations. All such arrangements are jointly controlled operations and the company accounts for its share of income, expenditure, assets and liabilities relating to that arrangement. |

| 10. | CONTINGENT LIABILITIES |
| The parent company, Comtrack Ventures Ltd, has elected not to bill, in part or in whole, for services rendered but to accrue them and submit a request to receive payment only upon a mutually agreed liquidity event arising or alternatively they may elect, if mutually agreed with the company, to receive shares in lieu of such accrued costs. As at 31 December 2025 such unbilled time totalled £75,000 (2024 - £50,000). |
| 11. | POST BALANCE SHEET EVENTS |
| In February 2026, the Company received confirmation from the UK North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) that the Initial Term Phase A of both licences has been extended by 24 months from the original expiry date of 31 May 2026 to 31 May 2028. |
| The Phase C duration remains unchanged at two years and the Second Term remains unchanged at four years. The Third Term will be reduced by a corresponding period of 24 months. |
| As the confirmation was received after the reporting date, this represents a non-adjusting event under FRS 102. Accordingly, no adjustment has been made to the amounts recognised in these financial statements. |
