During the financial year 2025, The Next Chosen Generation CIC continued to support children, young people and families in our community through a range of educational, developmental and wellbeing activities. Our work focused on our five key areas of Education, Employment, Enrichment, Engagement and Emotional Health and Wellbeing. We provided young people with coaching and mentoring, academic and personal development support, music and sports activities, life skills, social engagement opportunities and educational experiences. Our programmes helped young people to build confidence, develop new skills, improve communication and decision-making, discover their talents and develop positive aspirations for their future. We also supported parents and families through activities that encouraged stronger relationships, community participation and improved wellbeing. Where needed, we provided practical support and signposted families to other appropriate services. Throughout the year, we worked with community organisations, local authorities, schools and other partners to provide opportunities for young people and families. Our activities helped reduce isolation, encouraged positive social interaction and created safe and inclusive opportunities for young people to learn, develop and participate in their community.
The stakeholders for The Next Chosen Generation CiC are as follows: Young People aged 8years – 24years Parents in the community Basildon Borough Council Local Schools Employers The Next Chosen Generation CiC projects are shaped and guided by our stakeholders (mainly the young people). They are regularly asked for their views. Their suggestions are assessed and developed with them prior to delivery. It was their request for different types of support and activities that drove the approach that we apply to the delivery of all our activities. We always ask for feedback on young people’s progress from their parents. Whilst in conversation with parents, we discovered that they to need support. We therefore continued with our parents coffee morning as a support network for our parents. TNCG works in alignment with the Basildon Borough Council, Local Schools and Employers visions for supporting desired future direction of young people. We use their young people consultation results to shape the delivery of our projects.
